Hi, this used to be a nice place, until the spammers took over.

It is always thus. People create something nice, and then the greedy and
the dumb flow in in numbers and ruin things.
I am looking at what the web has become and I am seriously considering
avoiding it. Even spun up a gopher server of my own that I can experiment
with and expand on. Usenet, Gopher and IRC are so slowly being forgotten
by the masses, so maybe this place can become a nice place like before.
I did not frequent this group back when I was still on usenet, but I will
lurk around from now on. :)
